Hi there, I'm Louise or "Dr. Louise," the founder of Work You Love Coach. 

 As a former attorney, academic, and editor, as well as a current writer, facilitator and coach I have experienced various work environments.

Along the way, I've worked and studied on three continents and in a number of different countries. My most recent move was from my native Germany to the United States.

Like with all of us, there is a lot more to my story than can fit into a few sentences. If you're interested in hearing more, I invite you to read my About Page where I share what brought me to where I am today. 


The shortest version of my story is that I have been passionate about doing work I love for as long as I remember.

 

And yet something seemed to be missing. 


Which brings us to WORK YOU LOVE COACH. 


Have you ever experienced fireworks when an idea crossed your mind?


That's what happened for me when I first considered combining the words "work" and "love." 


It all suddenly made perfect sense to me. 

When I realized that the domain "workyoulovecoach.com" was still available, I knew that I had to follow through with my idea.

Early proof of me doing work I love:

I appreciate how the name integrates two crucial aspects of life: work and love. 

As the late Austrian psychiatrist and Holocaust survivor Viktor Frankl pointed out, these are two of the main sources for finding meaning in our lives. 

Before Frankl's deeply moving insights, the Lebanese-American poet and writer Khalil Gibran had declared that work and love were interrelated. It only took him one beautiful sentence to do so: "Work is love made visible."

By the way, I'm fascinated that my parents used one of Gibran's poems to announce my birth, and that I have a similarly interesting connection to Frankl.
